Sarah E. O’Leary is an experienced trial attorney who has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies. She graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 1996, where she served as a faculty assistant researching civil rights issues. She graduated, cum laude, from Northeastern University College of Business Administration in 1992. Ms. O’Leary was admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar in November 1996. She was admitted to the New Hampshire State Bar and the U.S. District Courts for Massachusetts and New Hampshire in 1997. Ms. O’Leary was employed from 1996 to 2004 as an associate with Esdaile, Barrett & Esdaile, litigating negligence, product defect, securities law and professional malpractice matters on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. She was extensively involved in the ephedra MDL litigation. From 2004 to 2007, Attorney O’Leary was in private practice representing a broad variety of clients in criminal, family law, probate, bankruptcy, and employment matters with a particular focus on real estate development. Earlier in her career, Ms. O’Leary was employed with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Communities and Development where she helped draft the State Regulations pertaining to lead paint and sanitary code inspection of public housing. At Governo Law Firm, Ms. O’Leary concentrates in defending clients in product liability and toxic tort cases. Ms. O'Leary also counsels business clients with regard to asbestos-related regulatory compliance. She was a featured speaker on legal and risk management topics at the 2008 Restoration Industry Association's Fall conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
