David A. Goldman graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in Boston and received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from The University of Michigan.  He is admitted to the state and federal courts of both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  From 1988 to 1997, Mr. Goldman worked in a variety of positions at a leading plaintiff firm in Boston, where he primarily concentrated on representing asbestos personal injury claimants.  From 1997 until 2002, Mr. Goldman supervised a large staff of attorneys in Massachusetts and Minnesota involved in the post-settlement phase of representing class action members in a number of nationwide class action lawsuits against multiple life insurance companies.  Since joining Governo Law Firm in 2002, Mr. Goldman has been very active in representing a multitude of corporate clients in the Rhode Island and Massachusetts asbestos litigation.  His extensive experience in class actions and civil litigation provides a broad substantive and procedural foundation for defending toxic tort and complex products liability claims.
