Governo Law Firm Contribution to the Legal Community

11/19/2013

In our continuing effort to partner with the legal community and assist in the development of law school students, Attorney William Gallitto of Governo Law Firm recently judged the 2013 New England Law Moot Court Oral Arguments at the Suffolk County Superior Courthouse. The Moot Court Program, established by New England Law|Boston, provides second year law students the opportunity to argue an appellate issue in a courtroom setting in front of a panel of three judges. For some students, the Moot Court Oral Argument is their first time arguing in a courtroom.

"It's great to be able to give back to New England Law|Boston" said Bill, "I wouldn't be where I am today without the skills and experiences I had while I was in law school." Bill also fondly recalled his own Moot Court experience, "I remember my Moot Court Oral Argument during my second year as a law student . . . it was extremely helpful in developing my writing and oral advocacy skills, as we had to fully brief an appellate argument and then had to argue it against opposing counsel in front of a panel of three judges. It was a comprehensive experience. It's rewarding to be able to help the students develop their skills."

The Governo Law Firm has a long and proud history of supporting and giving back to the communities from which they came. We recognize that making the effort to help others is an integral part of our responsibility as a member of the legal community. Bill currently uses the skills he developed at New England Law|Boston to represent Governo Law Firm clients' interests at depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings in complex civil litigation throughout New England.
