Alec S. Pine

Alec Pine is a seasoned trial attorney who practices in the areas of asbestos litigation, insurance defense, toxic torts, and products liability.

Prior to joining Governo Law Firm, Alec was an attorney at Swartz & Swartz P.C. in Boston where he successfully represented clients in high stakes personal injury cases from inception through trial.

Alec began his legal career with the New York City Legal Aid Society's Criminal Defense Practice in Bronx County. While there, he earned the respect and admiration of clients, peers and judges for his devoted client advocacy and polished trial skills. During this time, he defended over 1000 clients facing criminal charges ranging from minor infractions to serious felonies.

For embodying excellence in practice, Super Lawyers named Alec to the 2016 Massachusetts and 2015 New York Metro "Rising Stars" lists. Each year no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected to receive this exclusive honor. The National Trial Lawyers and National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys also recognized Alec as a top trial attorney in Massachusetts under the age of 40.

Alec proudly serves as a faculty member for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy where he helps practicing lawyers develop core trial skills. He has also served as teaching faculty for the Intensive Trial Techniques Program at Hofstra Law School which provides law students with the foundation to build careers as future trial advocates.

Alec earned his B.A. from The University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2007 and J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 2011. He was a member of Hofstra's Moot Court Board and represented the school on the Dean Jerome Prince Evidence Moot Court Team.
