Mr. Governo Appointed to FDCC Admissions Committee
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Governo has been appointed to serve on the Admissions Committee of The Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). The FDCC is composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction, and are dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits.

Mr. Governo has been an active FDCC member for the past decade. He has served as the Chairman of the Environmental and Toxic Torts Section, has published articles in the FDCC Quarterly, has presented at meetings and currently serves as a Dean of the FDCC's Litigation Management College, in addition to serving on the Admissions Committee and acting as a state representative.

The Admissions Committee is a particularly important part of the FDCC. The FDCC's admissions standards are rigorous and, as a prerequisite, require two FDCC sponsors. At a minimum, Defense Counsel members must (1) be admitted to practice for at least eight years; (2) devote a substantial amount of their professional time to the representation of insurance companies or the defense of civil litigation; and (3) be of high professional standing and good moral character. In addition, FDCC members must possess the highest qualities of professionalism, civility, and collegiality.

If you are interested in learning more about the FDCC, please feel free to contact Mr. Governo at [email protected].
