Upcoming Event: "Data Security Laws and the Rising Cybersecurity Debate" Boston Bar Association Program/Webcast—February 7, 12:00 – 1:00 pm


Governo Law Firm Attorney Corey M. Dennis, along with Attorney Ellen Giblin of Ashcroft Law Firm, will be speaking at the upcoming Boston Bar Association lunch program, "Data Security Laws and the Rising Cybersecurity Debate."

The program will provide an overview of the existing state and federal data security regulatory schemes in the United States, and the debate surrounding recent cybersecurity bills. The program will also include a discussion of the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 and related legislation, the FTC's data security authority under Section 5 of the FTC Act, and the cybersecurity Executive Order recently proposed by the White House.

The event will take place on Thursday, February 7 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Boston Bar Association (16 Beacon Street, Boston). The BBA will also broadcast the program via a live video webcast, which will be available after the event as well.
