Robert L. Boston

Robert L. Boston is an experienced trial attorney and is a member of the state and federal bars for the Commonwealths of Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. He has defended national and international companies in asbestos litigation, toxic tort and product liability claims involving electrical distribution equipment, automobiles, appliances, commercial piping, metal halide lamps, medical devices and a variety of other products. His practice at Governo Law Firm is focused on asbestos litigation and products liability. Mr. Boston has defended manufacturers and distributors of generic pharmaceuticals in ANDA and Hatch-Waxman litigation in mass torts and MDLs. His litigation experience also includes commercial disputes, construction litigation, premises liability, and the defense of health care professionals, lawyers and engineers in professional liability actions.

Mr. Boston's courtroom experience includes first and second chair responsibility for numerous bench and jury trials. He also has extensive appellate experience having briefed and argued several cases to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Appeals Court including: Chipman v. Avon Grove Sch. Dist., 841 A.2d 1998 (Pa.Cmwlth. 2004), Chace v. Curran, 71 Mass.App.Ct. 258 (2008) and Morin v. AutoZone Northeast, Inc., 79 Mass.App.Ct. 39 (2011) (a leading case on asbestos law in Massachusetts).

In addition to his litigation and appellate experience, Mr. Boston authored the article "Reducing the Risks Involved in Prescribing Mood Stabilizers Off-Label to Bipolar Children," which appeared in In Session with Allied World, Vol. 1. Summer 2011. He also attended the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy and Satellite Trial Academy.

Mr. Boston graduated from Boston University School of Law in 2000. He received his bachelor's degree in Russian Studies from Washington & Lee University in 1997. In pursuit of his major, he spent a semester studying at the Herzen State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg, Russia.
